This episode is pretty average at best, but that is because this is a mere setup for the final act of the story. Half of the runtime was pure character interactions, and it was a time well spent. We get to have more insight on Merlin’s view of humanity, as well as a brief one for Gilgamesh.

But perhaps the best one is for Ana. Here, we finally see her development come to fruition. From a distrustful and quiet girl who is afraid of humans, to a strong-willed individual willing to save humanity and accept herself for what she is.

The fight scenes are pretty okay and not exactly noteworthy. But, again, this just a taste for what is to come in the last 8 episodes.

Overall, this is a 7.5/10 for me.
