Books, anime and writing

This is a pretty solid episode with good pacing and characterization. The fight scene is good, the animation is okay, and I like how the story is starting to turn out. With that said, I have one gripe for this episode.

First, I felt like Ogremon’s screen time was far too short for his sacrifice to make an emotional impact. Granted, those me like who have watched the original series already know him, so that is not a big deal. But as someone who is watching this as if it’s my first time, I’d say they somewhat failed to make the scene as sad as it should be.

On the other hand, the fight between him and Greymon is nice and exciting, so that is a plus. Overall, this episode is a solid 7.5/10.
