Books, anime and writing

This is another good episode. The animation is good, the character development is nice, and the pacing is balanced.

The highlight here is the introduction of Metalgreymon. And I will admit, I prefer this version over his first debut in the original series. In that introduction, the fight with Etemon ended too quickly, and we never get to see his power until the next battle. But in this version, we get a good taste of Metalgreymon’s fighting capabilities, showing just how powerful an Ultimate Digimon is.

Now I do have a little gripe with the fight scene here. The animation itself is okay, but the choreography is choppy in some parts during Greymon’s desperate fight, and I noticed that they used a few stock footage to make the scene longer.

Overall, the episode still has flaws, but it is still a solid 7.5/10.
